Consumer Under 18 Resolution

Consumers must be at least 18 years old to qualify for Lifeline. Only emancipated minors can qualify for Lifeline under the age of 18.

If a consumer is under 18 years of age, NLAD will provide the service provider with the following error message:

Error Code Description
SUBSCRIBER_UNDER_18 No consumer can be less than 18 years of age.

To address the consumer under 18 error, service providers must work with the consumer to resolve the error through the National Verifier, following the documentation guidelines.
