de minimis Notification Enhancement Launches October 2, 2023
USAC is launching an FCC Form 499-Q de minimis notification enhancement on Monday, October 2, 2023. This enhancement will allow E-File users to select their de minimis status within E-File, replacing the requirement to email USAC for notification of status.
USAC’s Contributor Operations team is hosting webinars on Wednesday, October 4, and Thursday, October 5, to show you how it works.

FCC Announces 4Q 2023 Contribution Factor 34.5%
The FCC released a Public Notice, DA 23-843, announcing that the proposed universal service contribution factor for the fourth quarter of 2023 (October – December) will be .345 or 34.5 percent.

Service Provider Payment System Unavailable September 16, 2023
Service providers will not be able to make payments using E-File on Saturday, September 16, 2023 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. ET due to maintenance on the Pay.gov system. We apologize for any inconvenience.

On September 1, 2023, the FCC released Order DA 23-805, waiving certain Affordable Connectivity Program, Emergency Connectivity Fund, E-Rate, High Cost, Lifeline, Rural Health Care, and Universal Service Fund contributors rules and deadlines to assist program participants and providers located in areas affected by Hurricane Idalia.
