Granting access to E-File
Q1: Who can delegate authorized users for E-File?
A1:
On the FCC Forms 499-A/Q, only the Company Officer listed on the form can set up authorized users to prepare the forms. For program-specific forms such as FCC Forms 497 and 525, only the General Contact or Company Officer listed on the FCC Form 498 can set up authorized users, who can then prepare and certify on their behalf. In both cases, the Company Officer must certify the FCC Form 498 or FCC Forms 499-A/Q.
Q2: How do I reset a password in E-File for my users?
A2:
The Company Officer or General Contact can reset the passwords of delegated users in the E-File “Information Center” by clicking on “Reset Password” for that individual.
Q3: Who has access to the FCC Forms 499-A/Q?
A3:
The Company Officer and preparer (Block 2 contact) listed on the FCC Forms 499-A/Q on file with USAC can access the form online using the E-File system.
