Pro Rata Factors

Due to unused funds from previous years, individual HCPs (HCF and Telecom) have a different pro rata factor than HCF Program consortia for FY2017.

HCF Program Consortia Applicants

USAC will prorate total net demand for HCF Program consortia. There was $388.22 million of available program funding for FY2017. This amount was divided by $521.33 million, the total net demand that was received in the filing window period. Hence, all such funding commitments will be prorated at 74.4% (reduction of 25.6%).

Applicants should consult their funding commitment letter (FCL) for the exact amount of funding they will receive for FY2017. USAC will begin emailing letters on March 16, 2018.

Individual HCPs (HCF and Telecom Programs)

USAC will prorate FY2017 funding requests from individual HCPs under both the HCF and Telecom programs. There was $266.26 million of available program funding for individual health care providers for FY2017. This amount was calculated by adding prorated net demand (Individual) and unused funds. This amount was divided by $315.45 million, the net demand for individual health care providers from the filing window period. The available funding for individual HCPs included unused funds from previous funding years. Hence, all such funding commitments will be prorated at 84.4% (reduction of 15.6%).

Applicants should consult their FCL for the exact amount of funding they will receive for FY2017. USAC will begin emailing letters on March 16, 2018.
