RFI – Database of Broadband-Addressable Locations

Notice of RFI Withdrawal and Further Instruction

This is to notify all interested respondents that due to provisions in the Broadband Deployment Accuracy and Technological Availability (DATA) Act (Public Law 116-130), which was signed into law on March 23, 2020, responses to the RFI for the database of broadband-addressable locations should no longer be submitted to USAC, and USAC is withdrawing this RFI.  However, interested parties may submit to the FCC any information that is responsive to the questions posed in the RFI or relevant to creating a database of broadband-addressable locations by uploading such information to the FCC’s Electronic Comment Filing System (ECFS) at https://www.fcc.gov/ecfs/filings in WC Docket No. 19-195 (Establishing the Digital Opportunity Data Collection).  Consistent with the process set out in the RFI, any responses to USAC would have been reviewed by the FCC as well and made publicly available through ECFS.  Information submitted to the FCC may be used to inform and support the Commission’s work in implementing the Broadband DATA Act.”

The RFI seeks information from US-based companies with experience in location from interested parties on how broadband-addressable location data can be generated, collected, and shared with the public . Further details provided herein. Responses shall be submitted no later than March 20, 2020  at 2:00 PM ET.

USAC reserves the right to post additional information concerning this procurement and modify the request and/or one or more of the dates listed above, and in such event, it will post a notice to the USAC website. Contractors are responsible for regularly checking the USAC website for notices concerning this procurement. USAC is not responsible for notifying any contractor of the existence of such notices or the results of a contractor failing to check the website to obtain such notices.
