A New Look for Universal Service

We are giving universal service a new look. This is just the first step in a process to offer clearer, more streamlined and intuitive experiences for applicants and providers, making universal service programs simpler to access and in turn maximizing the impact of the funds.

Our goal is to bring clarity to what can be a complex process, but we know this will not happen overnight. Here is a glimpse of what to expect.

What is different?

For now, we simply changed the visual look and the organization of the homepage. The navigation on the subpages is now more simple, allowing you to switch easily between programs.

Has the content changed?

No, the content of the website has not changed. You will still find all the tools, resources, and information that you need in the same place. Over coming months, you will begin to see some adjustments to the content, including getting rid of information that is out of date.

What's coming in the future?

Over the next year, we will be slowly introducing a new website – one in which we are using transparent and straightforward language, and streamlining the process for program applicants and service providers.
