What USAC is Doing

USAC has taken the following actions related to applications identified in the Bishop Perry Order:

  1. USAC has posted to its website a table of all applicants listed in the appendices of the Bishop Perry Order.
  2. USAC also sent a Remand Acknowledgment Letter to these applicants advising them that they are included in the order.
  3. USAC is contacting all of these applicants to advise them which items they need to correct and by when, and will continue this effort until all of these applicants have been contacted. As these corrections are made, USAC is actively reviewing these applications.
  4. For applications that could not be corrected because of missing information, USAC has contacted almost all of these applicants and received the information necessary to data enter these applications. USAC will continue until all applications have been processed or canceled.
  5. USAC has posted a list of clerical and ministerial errors which are correctable by applicants.

USAC will be taking the following actions in the near future:

  1. USAC will move all FY2006 applications that were certified outside the window to an “in-window” status and process the applications. No action is needed on the part of these applicants to move their applicants to an “in-window” status. However, applicants that have not yet certified their forms will need to do so.
  2. USAC will be sending a letter to all FY2006 applicants providing guidance on correcting ministerial and clerical errors. Applicants can also access this information from the “What Applicants Need To Do” link.
  3. PIA will inform applicants who are now undergoing application review of the process for correcting these errors.
  4. USAC will move to get the corrections data entered into its systems. Applicants who respond early will likely see these errors corrected much more quickly.
  5. USAC will issue funding decisions as soon as possible based on the corrected information.
