Site Visit - Overview
As part of its High Cost Site Visit Outreach Initiative, USAC conducts site visits of Universal Service Fund (USF) support recipients, in order to see USF support in use, assess USAC's outreach and education efforts, and observe best practices in the field.
USAC Site Visit Outreach - High Cost Site Visits
The site visits provide USAC with valuable feedback regarding methods to improve the USF program and to identify "best practices" for use by other USF program participants. The High Cost site visits also provide USAC with a venue in which to observe USF support in use.
High Cost support ensures that consumers in all regions of the Nation have access to and pay rates for telecommunications services that are reasonably comparable to those in urban areas.
