USAC administers and protects the integrity of universal service so that rural and low-income consumers, schools, libraries, and hospitals have access to telecommunications and broadband services at affordable rates. Helping to make these services available helps keep citizens across the country connected and allows schools to better educate, libraries to better serve the public, and health care providers to save more lives.
